Timid soul seeking respite.

Backstory: Nena was found in a field as a puppy in horrible condition. It took days to catch her, and weeks for her to recover. She has been in the personal home of one of our rescue partners for 3yrs, living amongst humans, other dogs of all sizes and ages, and guests. She came to the US seeking a quieter home, but had a failed placement. She is decompressing in foster and believing that her third time’s a charm.

Basics: 3yrs old, 35lb. Unknown with cats, good with dog-friendly kids and dogs.

Personality: Nervous tendencies with new people who warms up quickly in a reassurance and calm environment. Gentle, friendly, and affectionate.

Behavior: Nena had a bite incident in her first adoptive home. A person who has erratic movements and behavior due to a medical condition was reaching into the crate to remove her. She had already exhibited ongoing anxiety due to this pattern of movement. We had not seen any indications of aggression before, and have not since.
